We built getresumatch.com on a simple principle: your resume is yours. Here's exactly how we handle your data — transparently, and with your interests first.
When you upload your resume, we parse and store your professional information including your name, contact details, work history, skills, and education. This data is used solely to find you relevant job matches and tailor your resume for specific roles.
If you create an account, we collect your email address, full name, and authentication credentials. You may also sign in via Google OAuth, in which case we receive your Google profile email and name only.
We track how many job searches and resume tailors you've used to enforce plan limits. We do not sell or share this usage data with advertisers or third parties.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never store your full credit card number, CVV, or billing address on our servers. We receive only a Stripe customer ID and subscription status confirmation.
Your resume data is sent to our AI (powered by Claude by Anthropic) and our job search API (Serper) to find and rank job listings that match your experience. This processing is strictly for providing the service to you.
When you request a tailored resume, your resume text and the target job listing are sent to the Anthropic Claude API. These requests are not used to train AI models per Anthropic's API terms.
We use aggregate, anonymized data to understand how Get Resumatch is used and to improve matching quality. This never includes your identifiable resume content or personal information.
We may send transactional emails (account confirmation, payment receipts). We will not send marketing emails without your explicit consent.
Get Resumatch does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or resume data to any third party under any circumstances.
Your resume is never shared with employers, recruiters, or job boards without your explicit action. Clicking Apply takes you to the employer's site — we do not submit applications on your behalf or share your resume with them.
We share data with infrastructure partners strictly to operate the service: Supabase (database/auth), Anthropic (AI processing), Serper (job search), Stripe (payments), Vercel (frontend hosting), and Railway (backend hosting). Each is bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.
We may disclose information if required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Get Resumatch, our users, or the public.
Your parsed resume data and raw text are stored securely in your account. Only your most recent resume is retained — uploading a new resume replaces the previous one automatically.
You may request full deletion of your account and all associated data (resume, saved jobs, profile) by emailing support@getresumatch.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
Your saved job matches are stored in your account and can be removed at any time by unsaving them from your Saved Matches tab.
All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS. Your database records are stored in Supabase with Row Level Security (RLS) enabled, meaning users can only ever access their own data — not other users' resumes or matches.
Passwords are hashed using industry-standard bcrypt and never stored in plaintext. We support Google OAuth as a secure passwordless alternative.
In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you via email within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, as required under applicable data protection laws.
You have the right to request a copy of all personal data we hold about you. Email support@getresumatch.com to request a data export.
You may update your account information at any time, or by contacting us at support@getresumatch.com.
You have the right to request deletion of your account and all associated data. See the Data Retention section for details.
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. We do not sell personal information. Contact us at support@getresumatch.com to exercise your CCPA rights, including the right to know, delete, and opt out.
If you are located in the European Economic Area or UK, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to restrict processing and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
We use only essential session cookies required for authentication and basic app functionality. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics.
Get Resumatch does not serve ads and does not use ad networks, retargeting pixels, Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, or any behavioral tracking tools of any kind.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or prominent notice in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Get Resumatch after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
